This variety, native to California, has been widely recognized around the world with several trophies. Orange Bud has been produced for decades and was imported to Holland in the early 1980s. It was then perfected for indoor and greenhouse growers.
Orange Bud is a sativa-dominant variety with genetics of Afghan Indica, Acapulco Gold, and Colombian Gold. It possesses sweet and fruity citrus notes, complemented by a musky perfume, which may suggest a taste of clementine. It is also marked by rapid and vigorous growth with a short flowering cycle.
This variety is characterized by dense, heavy buds surrounded by thick clumps of orange pistils growing on massive, resinous buds that complement its orange fragrance. When the flowers are mature, they give the plants a general colour that tugs slightly on the orange. The end result is a fruity harvest.
